Daniel Mackernan B.Sc. (Hons.), DipPropInv, MRICS
Dan joined Davis Coffer Lyons in January 2005 with a brewery background initially with Marston’s in managing un-licensed properties and dealing with de-licensed disposals and then at S&NPE as Estates Surveyor. Having entered the pub sector in 1998, Dan has vast experience in the sector and has helped to develop DCL’s dedicated Pub Team, providing advice on mergers and acquisitions and valuation advice on corporate deals.
He also provides estate management advice across the pub market throughout the UK- from the smallest investors to major lenders and pub companies.
As a Senior Surveyor he also assists the Landlord & Tenant team with rent reviews, lease renewals and rating appeals, and undertakes valuations of tied and free-of-tie public houses for individuals and pub companies.
Whilst the focus of his work is around traditional public houses based on the profits method of valuation, he also regularly carries out High Street rent reviews and valuations on a rent per square foot basis across the country.
